It’s rare for a political website of any kind to start with some good news but that’s part of why the NRPP is different. The solution to fixing our broken system is simple. Amend our Constitution to get big money out of politics. Don't get us wrong, it’s going to be very hard. It’s going to take cooperation we haven’t used in a while. It’s going to take energy we’ll need to dig deep for. It will be hard but it is simple. The biggest common ground among all US citizens is getting big money out of politics. The NRPP believes we can get this done and we won’t stop till we do.

We believe that getting big money out of politics is the one thing that almost every citizen agrees on. When people of all kinds discuss campaign finance reform, they tend to agree. If they move on to a heated political topic, they might leave that conversation mad instead of remembering what they agreed on. When that happens, the billionaires who are buying our news and media are getting exactly what they paid for. They control the sources that push for us to hate each other. They keep us apart because we agree on fixing money in politics. Here comes the hard part. Conservatives and liberals need to do this together. We need to be able to put our differences aside till it's done. We must all do our best to agree on this one thing and remember that it unites us. Building connections, especially ones we've lost recently, is the only way to move forward.

The Amendment has three parts.

1. Candidates can only take money from people who live in the place they represent. No outside money.

2. Candidates can only take up to 8 times the minimum wage of a person voting for them per election. That ranges from $58-$160 depending on where you are running.

3. Candidates must release their tax returns and a list of everything they own or are invested in. They do this when they run and while in office.

4. People, Businesses, and Organizations have to follow these rules if they pay for political speech such as advertisements.

A party should exist to achieve a goal. Vague values expressed with pretty words might get campaign contributions but they don’t make real change. The NRPP has the goal of passing an amendment to fix money in politics. That is the purpose of the party and once it’s achieved, the party should no longer exist. A party who’s purpose is just to exist, no longer has a purpose. Existing for as long as possible is a goal a business should have, not a party. Politics shouldn’t be a business. When we achieve our goal, elected officials in the NRPP should be prepared to champion new causes for their constituents and forge parties of their own.
